Liquid management the easy way

Special Features:  SCP-6500 Pumps allow class 1 and 2 flammable liquids to be pumped using GoatThroat Pumps’ unique technology.
Applications ranges:  Alcohols, flammable solvents, volatile hydrocarbons.

The latest pumping solution for spill-free, environmentally safe transfer of flammable liquids is in production now.  The SCP-6500  Pumps will be available March 1, 2010.  Featuring a lug with a grounding wire on the front of the pumps, and made with conductive plastic, the SCP-6500 Pumps allow users of flammable liquids to ground the pumps, making them safe for use with class 1 and class 2 flammables.  All components of this new pump which come in contact with the fluid are created with conductive plastic, so there is grounding of the liquid, the pump, and, with correct bonding, to the container.  A worldwide leader in environmentally preferable liquid transfer solutions, GoatThroat Pumps  are designed to fit containers and drums from 5 to 55-gallons and are available in four models, have a cost-effective life expectancy of 10 to 15 years, and provide for spill-proof, safe transfer of over 850 fluids and solvents. They are RoHS compliant.   Designed  to drain containers dry, making them Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) empty, these food grade pumps also meet UN safety standards, helping customers meet compliance and environmental requirements.

Ultra High Purity and Clean Room Applications

GoatThroat Pumps can be used for many ultra-high purity and clean room applications.  The pumps and accessories can be specially configured with no silicone grease in the manufacture for situations where silicone will contaminate either the fluid or the part which the fluid is used on.  There is a nominal additional charge for this configuration.

Different solvents/liquids may pick up different extractables.   For ultra-high purity and clean room applications, GoatThroat Pumps recommends that testing be conducted on each fluid with pump components which are in the fluid path prior to using our pumps to ensure that your manufacturing application will not be compromised.  Test kits are available for ultra-high purity and clean room situations, and the price of the test kit will be deducted from cost of the pump and/or accessories once testing results have been turned into GoatThroat.  We will publish this information for others to use.

ISSUE: EPA2010 New Vehicle Standard for  Diesel Engines requires that NOx emissions be reduced to near zero.  Most vehicle manufacturers have chosen Selective Catalytic Reduction Technology (SCR) because it is effective with no loss of fuel economy.  In simple terms a fine mist of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), a solution of UREA and water, is dosed into the exhaust and neutralized the NOx molecules into harmless water and nitrogen.  Anticipated rate of fluid consumption is 2-3% per gallon of diesel fuel.

APPLICATIONA seperate tank is fitted onto the vehicle to hold the DEF.

RECOMMENDATIONS  GT300 Pumps with Viton seals are ideally suited for DEF transfer from 55 Gallon Drums and will give years of service.  Add a remote discharge nozzle to deliver the fluid to the DEF tank and a pneumatic adapter for a complete package. The GT300 Pump System meets the Petroleum Equipment Institute ISO Standards for DEF delivery.  Call for a quote today.
